Chronicle

A set of photographs of a journal written by my grandfather who was a member of the Indian National Congress. Passionately involved in the Indian independence movement and according to family lore, a friend of Gandhi, Nehru and Aung San (Suu Kyi's father),  his house in Rangoon - where he practiced medicine - was a refuge for freedom fighters and others wanted by the British police in India. This journal dates from the end of his life in Kerala, and contains reflections on the continuing struggle for Indian independence, interspersed with personal reflections on his family, on his failing health and straitened financial condition, as well as  a number of observations on medicine and poetry.
